Dubai

  1. Sky High Views from the Burj Khalifa

Let vertigo get to you at the world’s highest building, The Burj Khalifa. If heights aren’t your thing then choose a hotel with a view of this world famous landmark. Our pick is The Address Downtown Dubai and you can keep reading to learn more about it.

  1. Shopping at Dubai Mall

Sometimes your wallet needs a workout too. And the Dubai Mall is definitely the place to do it. With high designer brands with matching price tags that will make your eyes water more than being at the heights of The Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall is for the faint hearted. Don’t worry though, if you like a good bargain, wait for sale season and head to local high street chain favourites like Zara, H&M, and Victoria’s Secret.

3. Be Mesmerised by the Dubai Fountain Show

The world’s largest fountain show is a spectacle to behold every half hour in the evening from 6PM to 11PM in front of The Dubai Mall. Once again, if you want the BEST front row seats without the crowds, we recommend staying at The Address Downtown Dubai.

  1. Indulge in Friday Brunch

Never did we think that a simple Friday brunch would make it to one of our must-do lists. Friday is the UAE’s Saturday so everyone indulges in luxurious brunches, many of which include unlimited alcohol, which is the perfect way to welcome the weekend! Our pick is different from the traditional, stuff your face buffets that are so famous here but features more than enough food, is the Friday brunch at The Cut restaurant which features an array of what feels like an endless amount of entrees, a delicious steak main or two to-die-for desserts. Yum!

  1. Henna, Shisha, and Camel Rides

If you want to live out your Arabian Nights Fantasies, then make sure to add these genie-in-a-bottle activities to your list. Plus if you are on a budget, why not join a Desert Safari where all these activities are included.

  1. High Tea at the Burj Al Arab

Even though this one is a break the budget activity, it is definitely worth it. One, for the amazing views of Dubai and its skyline, and two for the delicious high tea treats. Plus, without a reservation at one of the many restaurants in the Burj Al Arab, you won’t be allowed in and it’s worth a visit even for a peek inside at the unique and bright architecture.

STAY || The Address Downtown

With an unbeatable location, connected to the Dubai Mall by a short sky bridge, and front row views of the Burj Khalifa and Fountain Show. On our recent Dubai trip we were fortunate enough to stay in the huge one-bedroom residence. This is the perfect room for an extended stay as it features a washer, dryer, and full kitchen, allowing you to save a lot of money in what can be a very expensive city.
