Wanderlust Chronicles’ review of the Hotel Continentale in Florence, Italy.

The Continentale Hotel Florence is the Lugarno Collection’s shining gem when it comes to style, location, and value. On our recent visit to Florence we were fortunate enough to experience the Continentale Hotel Florence’s unforgettable Junior Suites. And they were amazing! With high ceilings, ample room space, a luxurious and huge four-poster bed, a modern marble bathroom, and views over the Arno River and onto the Ponte Vecchio, the Junior Suites are truly memorable and are sure to enhance your next visit to Italy’s most beautiful city. The use of wide spaces made the rooms feel extremely contemporary coupled with the use of numerous windows and floor to ceiling doors that allowed the large space to be bathed in natural light make the Junior Suites perfect for any stay. Plus if you are on a romantic stay, the Junior Suites also feature comfortable lounges and loveseats under some of their windows so you can enjoy some relaxation time under the sun or admiring the view.

If you must tear yourself away from your Junior Suite, a feat that is extremely hard to do, The Hotel Continentale is perfectly positioned on the banks of The Arno River and on the corner directly opposite The Ponte Vecchio, making exploring extremely easy. The value of a walking friendly city and a well located hotel is immeasurable, as it can not only save you so a lot of euros on transportation but it also allows you to see more as you explore on foot. And the Hotel Continentale, which is also within walking distance of all the major attractions in Florence and the main train station, is in the perfect location to do just that. Plus the lovely staff is able to recommend the best sights to see and delicious restaurants to sample the local Tuscan cuisine. Overall, we found that The Hotel Continentale is definitely the best hotel option in Florence based on location, design, and value, so make sure to book your stay for your next visit.
