Our favourite part of the hotel is the service. You will be treated like family by the hotel’s exceptional staff from the moment you enter the hotel. Our charming concierge even exclaimed to us, “Many visitors have a bad opinion of Parisian people but I endeavor to change their opinions and show them that I, and Paris people, are some of the most friendly in the world.” Before proceeding to assist us with tickets to attractions, dinner reservations at exquisite restaurants, and invites to exclusive art events in the hotel.
Stepping into the compact but stylish lobby is a refreshing change from the busy streets of the Champs-Elysees area. We were fortunate enough to stay in a Prestige Room, which featured a private outdoor terrace, perfect for drinking our morning cups of Nespresso from the machine provided in every room. The high ceilings, which are a particular love of ours, also feature beautiful monochrome murals which transport you to the quaint art galleries tucked into the Parisian alleyways around the city. The rooms also feature all of the amenities you expect from a large hotel chain.
The hotel is a far cry from the oversized, busy, business aesthetic of most of the Intercontinental hotels but that’s what makes this hotel so special. Having a boutique style hotel while maintaining the confidence of investing in a stay with a familiar and large brand that is able to assist with any issues.
The Intercontinental Avenue Marceau is our new favourite Paris hotel and we highly recommend it for your next stay.
