The vivid colours and busy excitement of Barcelona’s most famed markets is what makes Mercat de La Boqueria truly memorable. La Boqueria is predominantly a food market, which serves up some of the freshest fruits, vegetables, meats and seafood that Barcelona has to offer. It’s a great place to catch a bite after sightseeing while people watching and soaking up Barcelona’s lively atmosphere.
We visited in winter and the market was buzzing with locals and tourists. WC highly recommends a visit to the seafood stall in the left hand corner after the main entrance, which serves up delicious grilled seafood. You will know which one it is because it is completely PACKED! Overall, the Spanish know how to do food well!
