When pictures of queues snaking around the block and starting at a tiny, green, hole in the wall shop, and Brisbanite’s Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook feeds begun filling with mouth watering snaps of bright and glaze dripping doughnuts, the question on everybody’s lips was, where is this heaven? And like the God’s had answered the sweet prayers of Brisbanites everywhere, Doughnut Time decided to make Brisbane its first home. The creative genius behind many of Brisbane’s most loved venues, Damian Griffiths, is also the mastermind behind Doughnut Time, a small hole in the wall located in the alcove outside his beloved Pizzeria, Alfredo’s. The daily menu of hand dipped donuts alternates based on seasonal ingredient availability and popularity.
Locals from all around Brisbane have been flocking in the droves to taste doughnut flavours that the United States have made famous, such as, the maple glazed and bacon dusted beauty, or the addictively delicious peanut butter and jelly specialty, or the Nutella filled and cinnamon sugar dusted Aussie favourite doughnut.
No matter what mood you are in or what time it is, Doughnut Time has your sweet craving covered. But, get in quick before they sell out, because they are selling like hot cakes (or doughnuts)!
