Wanderlust Chronicles review of the Hotel 1000 in Seattle.
If there ever was a hotel that could envelope you in a warm hug, it would be the Hotel 1000 in Seattle. True to Seattle’s charm, and in complete opposition of the well-known “Seattle Freeze”, Hotel 1000 exudes warmth and comfort in every way.
Our arrival to the hotel found us warmly invited into, and oriented to all the features in the hotel, by some of the most lovely front desk staff we have encountered on our travels. All smiles, and with complimentary champagne in hand, we were taken to a cosy and warm room, decorated with earth tones and woods to capture the feel of the surrounding nature, made so famous in the Washington State. After a well-needed, comfortable night’s rest, we were given a tour of the hotel’s facilities and the opulent presidential suite. It was here that we learnt about, and personally experienced first-hand during our stay, The Hotel 1000 and how it understands everything about Seattle, catering to its dynamics perfectly. For example, when the weather becomes rainy and cold outside, the hotel staff can book you a spot at their state of the art virtual golf range that also doubles as a life sized Nintendo Wii screen for children to use when the weather is bad. Not to be forgotten is the nightly turn down service including a delicious chocolate on your pillow, friendly and informative gentlemen at the concierge desk, and the local’s favourite, BOKA Restaurant and Bar. Also, To ensure you are pampered as much as possible during your stay, the Hotel 1000 is also home to one of the best spa’s in Seattle, Spaaah. Add to that, a super cosy library to lounge in during the colder months, and you have the perfect hotel for relaxation, while still being in an inner city location. The Hotel 1000 is also close to all the main attractions, such as the famous Pike Place Market and Seattle waterfront, making it perfect for sightseeing as well. Overall, the Hotel 1000 is a great base for travellers who want to see all the great sights Seattle has to offer while being able to relax and unwind in a comfortable hotel environment and we recommend for your next visit to this stunning city.
