Wanderlust Chronicles review of The Langham Chicago
The Langham Chicago has been awarded with numerous accolades in its short time of existence. Being a traveller’s favourite, we knew that on our recent trip to Chicago we had to experience it for ourselves. As true lovers of the Langham brand, we were excited to see if the Langham Chicago lived up to not only the high standards of the brand but its many awards as well.
Check-in is seamlessly conducted by the elegantly dressed, in signature Langham pink of course, front desk staff in the sky lobby, several floors above street level. The stunning architectural design of the lobby with its lofty ceilings and hanging art installations was truly breathtaking. After check-in the extremely helpful staff are more than happy to assist with your every need, from assisting with luggage, to room orientations, to recommendations and reservations for local attractions and restaurants. From the minute we stepped in to the grand elegant room, with the largest size of lead-in room in the city, we were in awe of the modern grandeur of the room. All rooms include a functional office nook, combined powder room and wardrobe, large bathroom with bath and shower and separate toilet, and the world’s most comfortable hotel bed. If you want to see for yourself, we also have a video tour of the room coming soon so check back regularly!
All in all, the Langham Chicago tops our list of hotels for 2014, and even ever! It’s a truly functional hotel, both location and service wise, wrapped up in the most modern and elegant package, making it a favourite among all kinds of luxury travellers.
