So you want to find out more about the new kid on the block, Tryp Hotel? Well, we have the insider information for you!
Tryp is the latest addition to Brisbane’s growing accommodation offerings, but it’s sure to stand out from the crowd of competitors. Flaunting colourful, street art emblazoned walls, chic and functional interiors, and a throwback to Brisbane’s undiscovered history and local influences, Tryp must be your next boutique hotel experience. The building itself has a colourful history; with origins as the secret society clubhouse of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes, before becoming a hostel, which was later followed with a 10 year abandonment whilst it is was a regular stomping ground of local street artists, to the glory of the Tryp Hotel that it is today.
Each level is refreshingly different, as a different street artist was commissioned to create their own art pieces on their own level, paying homage to the artists that previously used the abandoned building as their blank canvas.
Also, paying homage to all things Brisbane, the staff are dressed in the world famous Brisbane brand, Blackmilk clothing. As icing on the cake, Tryp is also home to Chur Burger’s first restaurant after its Sydney flagship, providing guests and locals with an affordable and tantalising option for dining. Overall, we were impressed with the feeling of life the fills the Tryp Hotel, where the street art around every corner makes you feel like you are part of something unique and special.
